2U1I Collaboration With Avon Malaysia

SETIAWANGSA, 14 AUGUST 2017 – Geomatika University College (GUC) begin their huge collaboration with the well-known cosmetics company, Avon Cosmetics (M) Sdn Bhd starting this semester, to let all the students gain more experiences in real industries.

The collaboration, which is also known as 2U2I programme, is a programme that enable the Diploma in Beauty and Health students to have their half semester study in college like usual, and spend another half of the semester in the real industries.

Once the students finish their first half semester, they will be sent to Avon headquarter or even Avon official franchise to have their industry training. It allows the students to experience how would they be in the real industry after they graduate from the college.

According to Mr Azlan Ismail, the director of Avon Cosmetics (M) Sdn Bhd, the “Breakthrough” method is needed to apply in order to spread the greatness of Avon worldwide. “ I have made contact with the ministry, and I am glad that they are interested in knowing what form they can help us.”

Madam Siti Hawa Binti Muhiddin, Beauty and Training Manager (Sales & Training Development) also said that she saw the uniqueness in GUC students, due to the reason that GUC is one of the very few college that provides a full Diploma in Beauty and Health course. “They can help Avon to generate new ideas, and Avon provides great opportunities for them. It is a win-win situation.”, Madam Siti Hawa said.

Nur Athira Samsudin, the degree student in Beauty Management said that she is excited about the progamme. “Through this collaboration, I will have a chance to experience a learning process in real industry. I am so excited for this; I have been waiting for this since long time ago.” Nur Athira said.

Mr Azlan Ismail hopes that the collaboration will bring out good result as planned. “My hope towards all the good work is simple, that is to produce young entrepreneurs especially from universities, through Avon Young Club (AYC).”, Mr Azlan Ismail said.
