15 August 2026 — The Board of Governors UGM Forum: BOG–Honorary Professors 2026 was held at AMES Hotel, Melaka, bringing together university leaders, professionals, academics and industry figures for a full day of knowledge sharing, strategic discussions and professional exchange. The event provided a valuable platform for participants to explore current developments, leadership strategies and opportunities for stronger collaboration between academia and industry.
The morning session featured a series of distinguished speakers addressing important areas related to the future direction of UGM and strategic development. Prof. Datuk Dr. Sr. Mohaizi Mohamad, President of Geomatika Edugroup Sdn. Bhd., shared insights on Future Direction of UGM and Strategic Leadership, while Tuan Hairil Azli Mt Husin, Medical Planner at Koperasi Belia Islam Malaysia (KBI), discussed Healthcare Development & UGM Hospital Initiative. The programme continued with sharing sessions by Datuk Wira Dr. Hajah Radhuana Salleh, Prof. Prac. Mr. Yong Eng Kwang on Food Supply Chain Management System, Prof. Adj. Datuk Lim Sue Beng on International Business, and Prof. Adj. Dato’ Dr. Norsabrina Mohd Noor on Exponential Leadership and Strategic Development.
The session featured further discussions on industry, entrepreneurship and professional development. Prof. Dr. Noriah binti Ramli from the International Institute for Halal Research and Training (INHART) presented on Halal Industry Global Consultancy, followed by Prof. Adj. Fauziah Mohamed Amin, Chairman of Pertubuhan Ikatan Pembangunan Usahawan Malaysia, who shared perspectives on Entrepreneurship Strategy. These sessions highlighted the importance of connecting academic knowledge with practical industry experience and creating opportunities for meaningful professional collaboration.
The final sharing session was delivered by Tuan Mohd Azamanizam Baharon, President of Persatuan Pedagang dan Pengusaha Melayu Malaysia, focusing on High-Level Business Collaboration and Partnership.
