Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Geomatic and Land Surveying | Geomatika

Bachelor of Science (Hons) Geomatic and Land Surveying is a professionally oriented degree that focuses on the core disciplines of land surveying, geodesy, mapping, and advanced geomatics technologies. The programme develops graduates with strong technical and analytical capabilities in spatial measurement, boundary determination, positioning science, and geospatial data management. It emphasises precision, professional ethics, and technical competenceā€”key foundations for work in land surveying and geospatial sectors.

Students will gain extensive handsā€‘on experience through fieldwork, survey camps, applied projects, research activities, and industrial training. This practical exposure strengthens their ability to operate confidently with modern surveying instruments, GNSS technologies, photogrammetric systems, remote sensing tools, and geospatial software used across the geomatics industry. The programme also cultivates problemā€‘solving skills and technical judgement essential for professional surveying practice.

Accredited by the Land Surveyors Board Malaysia (LJT), this degree fulfils the academic requirements for graduates to pursue registration and progress toward becoming Licensed Land Surveyors in Malaysia. Graduates are wellā€‘prepared for careers in land surveying, geospatial analysis, mapping and other geomaticsā€‘related fields.

Local Admission

1. Pass SPM or equivalent with minimum THREE (3) credits including Mathematics
AND
2. Pass with honors for Malay Language in SPM/equivalent
AND
3. Pass History for SPM (since SPM 2013)
AND
4. Pass STPM with Grade C (NGMP 2.00) in two (2) subjects including General Studies with a CGPA of at least 2.00
OR
5. Pass STAM with minimum Grade Maqbul
OR
6. Pass Matriculation / Foundation in any IPTA / IPTS / permitted institutions to conduct foundation programmes with CGPA 2.00; or
OR
7. Pass a Diploma from Institute of Higher Education that is approved by the Malaysian Government.
AND
8. Malaysian University English Test (MUET) Band 1
OR
9. Any qualification that is approved by the Malaysian Government.
10. Pass Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning for Access (APEL A ā€“ T6) and pass interview conducted by Lembaga Jurukur Tanah (LJT)

International Admission

The English Language Entry Requirement for International Student at University of GEOMATIKA Malaysia are as follows:

Achieve minimum Band 3.5 in Malaysian University English Test (MUET), Score 5.0 IELTS OR any English competency test aligned with Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR)(High B1).

** For students who do not have the above English Qualification, they must undergo Geomatika’s English Program
