Geomatics is the science and technologies of three-dimensional measurement, mapping, and visualization. It is one of the fastest growing IT industries in the world today. Students will be exposed to several of the latest measuring techniques (GPS and F2F), as well as data collection and process including map designing. The Diploma in Geomatics program offered by the department is accredited by the Licensed Land Surveyors Board of Malaysia and has been designed to fulfill all the requirements for registration as a Licensed Land Surveyors in Malaysia. Graduates are also eligible to join the Institution of Surveyors of Malaysia (ISM) as a professional member and obtained facilities from a variety of sources including satellite observation, sensors located in space as well as ocean and terrestrial equipment.

Data will then be processed and manipulated using the computer technology and latest software. Included in this process are computerized mapping field, remote sensing for monitoring the environment, as well as positioning and navigating using Global Positioning System (GPS). This program is accredited by the Licensed Surveyor Board of Malaysia.

Local Admission

SPM / SPMV
Pass SPM/SPMV with at least credits in three (3) subjects including Mathematics and one of Science/Technical/Vocational subjects and pass English; OR
O – Level
Pass O-Level with at least grade C in three (3) subjects including Mathematics and one of Science/Technical/Vocational subjects; OR
STPM
Passed STPM or equivalent with at least grade C (NGMP 2.00) in one (1) subject and passed Mathematics, English and one Science/Technical/Vocational subject at SPM level (or equivalent); OR
STAM
Pass STAM Maqbul rank as well as pass Mathematics, English and one (1) Science/Technical/Vocational subject at SPM level (or equivalent); OR
Unified Examination Certificate (UEC)
Pass UEC with at least a B grade in three (3) subjects including Mathematics and one of Science/Technical/Vocational subjects and pass English; OR
Certificates
Pass a Certificate (MQF Level 3) in a related field from a Higher Education Provider (PPT) recognized by the Malaysian Government with a minimum GPA of 2.00; OR
Pass Vocational / Technical Certificate / Community College Certificate / SKM Level 3 in a recognized related field with one (1) year of work experience in a related field or a minimum of one (1) semester of Bridging program and pass SPM with at least one (1) credit; OR

Any equivalent qualification recognized by Malaysian Government

International Admission

The English Language Entry Requirement for International Student at University of GEOMATIKA Malaysia are as follows:

International English Language Testing System (IELTS) – Band 5.5
TOEFL: Test of English as Foreign Language (TOEFL) – Score 450

** For students who do not have the above English Qualification, they must undergo Geomatika’s English Program
