Pharmacy is the art and science of dispensing medicines which involves preparation and formulation of drugs and also educating the public about medicine. Pharmacy is the health profession that links the health sciences with the chemical sciences, and it is responsible for ensuring safe and effective use of pharmaceutical drugs.

According to the Malaysian Pharmaceutical Society, the ratio of pharmacist to a patient in the year 2010 is 1:4700. This shows that the country is still faced with a shortage of pharmacy support staff in the hospital, clinics, and public health services.

Local Admission

i. Pass the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM)/Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia Vokasional (SPMV) with at least credits in three (3) subjects, including Mathematics or Science, and pass in Bahasa Melayu; OR
ii. Pass O-Level with at least Grade C in three (3) subjects, including Mathematics or Science; OR
iii. Pass the Unified Examination Certificate (UEC) with at least Grade B in three (3) subjects, including Mathematics or Science; OR
iv. Pass the Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) or equivalent with at least Grade C (CGPA 2.0) in one (1) subject; OR
v. Pass the Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia (STAM) with the Maqbul rank; OR
vi. Pass a Certificate (MQF Level 3) in a related field from a Higher Education Provider (PPT) recognized by the Malaysian Government with a minimum CGPA of 2.0; OR
vii. Pass a Vocational/Technical Certificate, Community College Certificate, or Skills Certificate in a related field and pass SPM with at least one (1) credit; OR* (*only Malaysian Skills Certificate Level 3 is accepted)
viii. Other qualifications recognized by the Malaysian Government.

International Admission

The English Language Entry Requirement for International Student at University of GEOMATIKA Malaysia are as follows:

Achieve a minimum Band 3 in MUET OR equivalent to Common European Framework of reference for Languages (CEFR) Mid B1.

** For students who do not have the above English Qualification, they must undergo Geomatika’s English Program
