A friendly sports competition between senior and junior students at Universiti Geomatika Malaysia (UGM) recently brought the campus to life with excitement, energy, and camaraderie. Held at the universityās sports facility, the event aimed to promote a healthy lifestyle while encouraging unity and teamwork among students from different academic levels.
The matches included futsal, netball, volleyball, and other fun games, creating an inclusive environment where everyone could participate regardless of skill level. The spirited competition was less about winning and more about strengthening bonds. Laughter, cheers, and encouraging shouts echoed through the grounds as students supported their teams and celebrated each otherās efforts.
This initiative was not only about physical fitnessāit was about building stronger relationships within the UGM community. By encouraging collaboration, sportsmanship, and mutual respect, the event contributed to a more harmonious and supportive campus culture.
According to one of the organisers, āWe wanted to create a space where seniors and juniors could interact outside the classroom, build trust, and have fun together. The response was amazing, and weāre already planning the next one.ā
The event aligns with:
SDG 3: Good Health and Well-Being, by promoting physical activity and mental wellness.
