STUDENT EXPERIENCE // LIBRARY
UGM Library is located at Block 4, Level 6, using Lift 2. The total library collection has around 4500 collections which include books, magazines, theses, and student reports.
Besides printed collections, we also have a subscribed online database which is GALE Academic Onefile Select. It provides academic journals, magazines, books, news, etc. The library does provide services and facilities for library users to support daily activities. Any inquiries can be made via email at library@geomatika.edu.my.

The Vast Library Collection of UGM
Books
The library uses the Dewey Decimal Classification (DDC) number to classify the book’s subject. Users can notify the book’s spine to locate the books. Call number can be retrieved from the OPAC.
Thesis/Dissertation/Student Project
The UGM library also archives the student writing in the library. Theses and student reports are only available in the library. It is not available for circulation.
Magazine/Bulletin
The magazine and bulletin available in the library for leisure reading. It is a gift collection from several government organisations.

CIRCULATIONS
All UGM staff and students automatically are library members. New staff and students are required to register at the Library circulation counter.

LOAN SERVICES
All UGM staff and students automatically are library members. New staff and students are required to register at the Library circulation counter.

RENEWAL SERVICES
Renewal is possible if the item is not reserved or recalled by another user. Renewal can be done online via KOHA Opac. Each item only can be renewed once.

LIBRARY MEMBERSHIP
Only for UGM members. Can contact the librarian via email at library@geomatika.edu.my for registration.

RESERVED SERVICES
Library users can reserve an item that is on loan to another user. Once returned, the item on hold will be kept for 3 days, after which it will be given to the next person on the list or returned to the shelf.

LIBRARY ONLINE CATALOGUE (OPAC)
UGM members can search for library collections in the online catalogue (OPAC) via the Koha system. The users also can log in by becoming a member to check the due date of returned books, fines apply and reserved books.

Our Facilities
JomPrint@Library
JomPrint@Lib is an initiative of the UGM Library to upgrade photocopying, scanning, and printing services for UGM residents.
Wifi
All UGM students and staff are allowed to access Wifi at the library. Refer at the Circulation Counter for the username and password.
Computers
The library has PCs connected with Wifi to be used by students and was attached to a printer for printing purposes.
Reading Areas
A variety of reading areas are available for all students including the lounge area.
Discussion Room
The discussion room is only available for students to do discussions with lecturers. The availability is upon request at the circulation counter. 6-8 pax.
