The Master of Law Enforcement programme provides advanced knowledge and practical skills in law enforcement, crime prevention, investigative techniques, and the wider criminal justice system, designed to meet the growing demands of urban, suburban, and post-pandemic security challenges. Delivered fully through Open and Distance Learning (ODL), it offers flexible, heutagogy-driven study options ideal for working professionals seeking to upgrade their competencies anytime, anywhere. The curriculum emphasises industry-relevant content, including law enforcement development, pedagogy, assessment, leadership, and a research-project approach that enhances analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Graduates are prepared for senior roles in the police force, positions within government law enforcement agencies, opportunities in the public and private security sectors, as well as academic and research careers in criminology and law enforcement studies. This programme supports national expectations for a highly skilled enforcement workforce, contributing to a safer and more resilient country.

Local Admission


i. A Bachelor’s Degree (Level 6 Malaysian Qualifications Framework, MQF) in Law Enforcement or related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 or equivalent, as accepted by the HEP Senate; or
ii. A Bachelor’s Degree (Level 6, MQF) in Law Enforcement or related fields or equivalent with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 and not meeting a CGPA of 2.50, can be accepted subject to rigorous internal assessment.
iii. Candidates without a qualification in the related fields or working experience in the relevant fields must undergo appropriate prerequisite courses** determined by the HEP and meet the minimum CGPA based on (i) to (ii).

*Refer to Surat JPT GS 1000-630 Jld.3 (12), 06 Mac 2023 – Syarat Kompetensi Bahasa Inggeris Kepada Pelajar Institusi Pendidikan Tinggi Swasta (IPTS) for equivalent English language assessments and score.

International Admission


The English Language Entry Requirement for International Student at University of GEOMATIKA Malaysia are as follows:

Achieve minimum Band 4 in the Malaysian University English Test (MUET) or any English competency test equivalent to a Low B2 in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR)*.

** For students who do not have the above English Qualification, they must undergo Geomatika International’s English Program

  • Police Force:Senior roles within the police force, such as Superintendent or Inspector. Specialized units like Criminal Investigation Department (CID) or Anti-Corruption.
  • Law Enforcement Government Agencies:Leadership positions in agencies such as Malaysian Anti
  • Corruption Commission (MACC), National Anti-Drug Agency (AADK), and Customs Department.
  • Law Enforcement Non Government Agencies: Rela,
  • Law Enforcement Private Sector:Roles in corporate security, risk management, and security consulting. Positions in private investigation firms or cybersecurity companies.
  • Academician and Researcher:Teaching positions in universities or research roles in criminology and law enforcement studies.
  • Law Enforcement International Organizations:Employment with international bodies like Interpol or United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC).
