Local Admission

i. A Master’s Degree (Level 7 Malaysian Qualifications Framework, MQF) in Computing or related fields as accepted by the HEP Senate; OR
ii. A Master’s Degree (Level 7, MQF) in Non-Computing fields with a minimum of FIVE (5) years of working experience in Computing or related fields must undergo appropriate prerequisite courses** as determined by the HEP; OR
iii. A Master’s Degree (Level 7, MQF) in Non-Computing fields with less than FIVE (5) years of working experience in Computing or related fields must undergo a thorough, rigorous assessment as determined by the HEP to identify the appropriate prerequisite courses that are equivalent to their working experience in the Computing or related fields; OR
iv. Other qualifications equivalent to a Master’s degree (Level 7, MQF) in Computing or related fields recognized by the Government of Malaysia as equivalent to the above requirement.

**The prerequisite courses
i. Computer Architecture
ii. Database Fundamentals
iii. Network and Data Communication
iv. Programming Fundamentals
v. System Analysis and Design Fundamentals

Pre-requisite courses may be taken at Universiti Geomatika Malaysia or through Micro-Credential, MOOC, Short Course, or CPD platforms such as Coursera, OpenLearning, and others. Candidates must provide evidence and pass a rigorous internal assessment.

International Admission

The English Language Entry Requirement for International Student at University of GEOMATIKA Malaysia are as follows:

** If a student does not meet this requirement, the HEP must offer English proficiency courses to ensure that the student’s proficiency is sufficient to meet the needs of the programme.
