UGM and UNIBA Strengthened Ties for Quality Education and Global Partnerships

Universiti Geomatika Malaysia (UGM) and Universitas Bina Bangsa (UNIBA), Indonesia, recently collaborated to promote quality education and sustainable partnerships through an International Student Mobility & Visiting Lecturer Program in Kuala Lumpur on November 5-6, 2024. This event brought together 20 UNIBA students and 10 UGM lecturers at UGM’s Setiawangsa campus for sessions focused on academic exchange and cultural understanding.

Aligned with SDG 4: Quality Education, the program offered valuable knowledge-sharing on critical topics. Prof. Dr. Mizan from Universiti Pertahanan Nasional Malaysia (UPNM) led discussions on security and disaster management, providing insights into real-world challenges. Prof. Dato’ Dr. Nasir from UGM guided sessions on strategic management and academic publishing, equipping students with essential skills.

Reflecting SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals, this collaboration strengthened ties between UGM and UNIBA. Nurul Nadia Binti Mohamad Shariff, Deputy Vice Chancellor of Innovative Education at UGM, opened the program with remarks emphasizing shared goals in education. The signing of an MoU laid a foundation for continued collaboration through exchanges and joint initiatives.

This program reinforced UGM and UNIBA’s commitment to quality education and global partnerships, paving the way for future academic and cultural engagement benefiting both nations.
