UGM Early Childhood Education Students Volunteer for Playscape Therapy Programme

KUALA LUMPUR, 9 August 2025 – Students from the Diploma in Early Childhood Education at Universiti Geomatika Malaysia (UGM) once again proved their strong volunteer spirit through active participation in the Playscape Therapy programme.

The event, held at PPR Desa Tun Razak, was organised by SCOPURS in collaboration with MBSB Bank. It brought together community members and volunteers to create a safe and engaging play environment for children. UGM students took on various roles, including facilitating play sessions, guiding activities, and offering support to children and families throughout the programme.

This hands-on experience allowed the students to apply classroom knowledge in a real-world setting while honing essential skills such as communication, empathy, and teamwork. More importantly, their involvement reflects UGM’s commitment to producing graduates who are not only academically capable but also socially responsible.

“The enthusiasm and professionalism shown by our students in this programme highlight their readiness to contribute positively to society,” said a representative from the Faculty of Education. “We are proud to see them embody UGM’s values both inside and outside the classroom.”

Through initiatives like the Playscape Therapy programme, UGM continues to nurture graduates who are well-rounded, community-minded, and ready to make a meaningful impact.
