20 November 2025, Kuala Lumpur – Universiti Geomatika Malaysia (UGM) held its Honorary Award Ceremony at Indasari Auditorium, bringing together university leaders, academicians, industry figures and invited guests to honour outstanding individuals for their contributions to education, society, and national development.

The event began with the official procession, followed by the national anthem and a prayer recitation.
In his opening address, Prof. Dr. Raduwan Idar, Vice Chancellor, declared the opening of the 17th Convocation Extension Ceremony.
The ceremony continued with remarks by Prof. Datuk Sr. Dr. Mohaizi Mohamad, who highlighted UGM’s direction, commitment to academic excellence, and the role of strategic partnerships in elevating the university’s impact.
A montage video showcasing UGM’s achievements and initiatives was then presented, followed by cultural performances by the Performance Art Club and UGM alumni.
The highlight of the event was the conferment of Honorary Degrees and Professorships to distinguished individuals for their contributions.

The ceremony concluded with the official closing declaration by Prof. Dr. Raduwan Idar, followed by a group photo session with the President, Board of Governors, Senate members, and all honorary recipients.
Guests later returned to the auditorium for lunch and final performances.
UGM expressed appreciation to all attendees and staff who ensured the smooth running of the ceremony.
