A group of Diploma in Law Enforcement and Investigation students from Universiti Geomatika Malaysia (UGM), alongside members of the Student Consumer Movement (GPS) and their lecturers, recently took part in a community service program at Pangsapuri Ampang Perdana.
The event was officiated by Y.B. Tuan Syed Ahmad Bin Abdul Rahman Alhadad, the Lembah Jaya Assemblyman—also widely known as Altimet.
The day’s main activity was a gotong-royong to clean the flat area. Students worked hand-in-hand with residents, creating a strong sense of cooperation and shared responsibility. The friendly and welcoming response from the local community made the students feel appreciated and at ease.
This initiative reflects UGM’s commitment to nurturing civic-minded graduates who are engaged with real-world community issues. It also strengthens the bond between the university and the wider public.
More programs like this are expected in the future, focusing on positive social impact and student growth beyond the classroom.
