UGM Students Join National Skuad Waja Program to Tackle Social Issues

18 September 2025 – The Student Affairs & Alumni Unit (HEPA) of Universiti Geomatika Malaysia (UGM) took part in a national youth initiative led by the Jabatan Pembangunan Wanita (JWP) under the Kementerian Pembangunan Wanita, Keluarga dan Masyarakat (KPWKM).

Held at Tan Sri Ainuddin Wahid Hall, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) Kuala Lumpur, the program introduced the Skuad Waja platform, which aims to:

  • Equip students to address social issues and crime within higher education institutions.

  • Strengthen community services by providing psychosocial support and guidance to young people.

UGM’s involvement reflects the university’s commitment to building a safe and supportive environment for students and the wider community. Through the Skuad Waja initiative, UGM students gain practical skills to identify risks, provide peer support, and promote positive social change on campus.

This collaboration underscores UGM’s role in nurturing responsible graduates who can contribute to national efforts in youth development and crime prevention.
