18 July 2026 – Students from University Geomatika Malaysia (UGM) demonstrated the power of youth action by participating in a Plogging initiative held at Kampung Melayu Ampang. The activity was organized in conjunction with the Karnival Kesihatan Ampang (Peringkat Daerah Ulu Langat).
The day began with an energetic aerobic session that got participants warmed up and ready to move. Following the workout, students took to the streets for the plogging session combining light exercise with picking up litter around the neighborhood. By merging physical fitness with environmental stewardship, the initiative highlighted how simple daily habits can directly contribute to a cleaner, greener community.
Beyond the immediate environmental impact, the programme provided a fantastic platform for UGM students to develop essential life skills. Working together side by side, participants strengthened their teamwork, embraced the spirit of volunteerism, and deepened their sense of social responsibility.
