University of Geomatika Malaysia: A Leader in Sustainable Development Goals

At the University of Geomatika Malaysia, our commitment to fostering a better world aligns seamlessly with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). These global goals provide a blueprint for peace and prosperity for people and the planet, now and into the future. Among the 17 SDGs, we at the University of Geomatika Malaysia are particularly dedicated to advancing SDG 1 (No Poverty), SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-Being), SDG 4 (Quality Education), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).

SDG 1: No Poverty

Eradicating poverty in all its forms remains one of the greatest challenges facing humanity. At the University of Geomatika Malaysia, we believe that community support and charitable initiatives are vital in combating poverty and fostering social well-being.

Our “Gerobok Rezeki” campaign is a testament to this belief. This initiative involves setting up community pantries stocked with essential food items, allowing those in need to take what they require. By providing accessible resources, we help alleviate the daily struggles of individuals and families facing economic hardships.

Additionally, during the holy month of Ramadan, the university organizes food pack donation drives. These drives involve distributing food packs to underprivileged communities, ensuring that everyone can partake in the festive season with dignity and joy. Our students and staff actively participate in these campaigns, embodying the spirit of giving and solidarity.

Through these efforts, University of Geomatika Malaysia strives to create a supportive and compassionate community, helping to break the cycle of poverty and empower individuals to build better futures.

SDG 3: Good Health and Well-Being

Promoting health and well-being is essential for sustainable development. University of Geomatika Malaysia is dedicated to creating a healthy campus environment. We offer a range of health services, mental health support, and wellness programs to ensure that our students, faculty, and staff maintain their well-being. Our initiatives include regular health screenings, counseling services, and fitness programs, all aimed at fostering a holistic approach to health. By prioritizing the well-being of our university community, we contribute to the broader goal of achieving good health for all.
