Diploma in Hotel Management | Geomatika

The Diploma in Hotel Management / Diploma Pengurusan Hotel offers students a solid starting point to explore the dynamic world of hospitality. The program focuses on developing operational abilities and professional attitudes essential for front-line and supervisory roles within hotels, resorts, and restaurants. Students are introduced to core subjects such as food and beverage service, housekeeping practices, front office operations, and customer relations, while also learning key concepts in management, communication, and hospitality marketing. Practical classes, role-play exercises, and simulated training environments ensure students gain confidence in applying their skills. In addition, the program integrates Work-Based Learning (WBL) and structured internship opportunities, giving students the chance to experience real-life hospitality operations and industry expectations before they graduate.

Upon completion, graduates can enter careers in hotel operations, catering services, event support, or tourism enterprises. They may also continue their studies at the bachelor’s degree level, opening wider opportunities in management, entrepreneurship, and global hospitality industries.

Local Admission


SPM
Possess Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) with at least credit in THREE (3) subjects; OR
STAM
A pass in Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia (STAM) with at least Grade Maqbul; OR
STPM
A pass in Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) with at least Grade C (GP 2.00) in any subject; OR
SKM
A pass in Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia (SKM) Level 3 in related field subject to the approval of Senate/ Academic Board. Note: The HEPs need to conduct specific screening and guidance related to the field of the program for students.; OR
Certificate
A Certificate (Level 3 Malaysian Qualifications Framework, MQF) in relevant field with at least CGPA of 2.00; OR
APEL
Pass APEL.A T4

Any equivalent qualification recognized by the Malaysian Government

International Admission


The English Language Entry Requirement for International Student at University of GEOMATIKA Malaysia are as follows:

International English Language Testing System (IELTS) – Band 4.0
Malaysian University English Test (MUET) – Band 2.0
Common European Framework of reference for Languages (CEFR) – Low B1

** For students who do not have the above English Qualification, they must undergo Geomatika’s English Program
